Your Mesa Rim card, on your lock screen.
Scan the barcode or QR on your Mesa Rim membership card once and carry it in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Free, no account, nothing about you stored.
What code is on a Mesa Rim card?
Mesa Rim key tags carry a Code 39 barcode. The pass re-encodes it as Code 128 for Apple Wallet, which the desk scanner reads the same way.
How to add a Mesa Rim membership card to your wallet
- Scan the card. Open the TapIn builder with Mesa Rim already filled in, tap Scan the card and hold the code inside the frame. The number and code type fill in. Decoding happens on your phone; the picture is never uploaded.
- Add the logo. Drop in the Mesa Rim logo from their website or your membership email. The pass and the page take on its colours. Pick the lettering you like.
- Add to Wallet. Tap Add to Apple Wallet on an iPhone or Add to Google Wallet on Android. The pass appears in the wallet app and on the lock screen when you are near the gym, if you allow location.
- Test it once at the front desk while you still have the physical card.
Why a wallet pass instead of the Mesa Rim app?
A wallet pass is one swipe from the lock screen, works with no signal in the building, and never asks you to sign in. The gym's app is still where your account lives; the pass is only the barcode, made by you for your own use.

Good to know
- Is this the Mesa Rim app?
- No. TapIn makes a wallet pass that carries your own Mesa Rim member number, the same one printed under the code on your card. Your membership, billing and class bookings still live with Mesa Rim at mesarim.com.
- Will the Mesa Rim front desk scanner read a phone?
- Camera-based scanners read a phone screen; older laser wands often do not. Test the pass once at the desk while you still have the card. If the scanner does not pick it up, turn the screen brightness up and try again, or ask the desk to type the number.
- Does TapIn store my Mesa Rim member number?
- No. An Apple Wallet pass is signed in memory and sent straight back to you. A Google Wallet pass needs the logo at a web address, so the logo tile is kept under a random name; your name and number are never stored.
- Which phones work?
- iPhone (Apple Wallet) and Android, including Samsung Galaxy (Google Wallet). On a computer you get a pass file to send to your phone.
